How do I make an appointment?
Before setting up our first appointment, I provide a free 15-minute initial consultation. The initial consultation will provide us an opportunity to discuss further your reasons for seeking therapy and your hopes and goals, to answer questions about the therapy process and my therapeutic approach, and to assess our fit.
To schedule an initial consultation, you can fill out the form under the Contact tab of my website, e-mail me at drchristinahonghuber[at]gmail.com, or call me at (703) 646-0883.
Please note that e-mail is not a secure form of communication. E-mail is appropriate for administrative purposes only (i.e., scheduling or paperwork clarification).
Note: submitting a form or sending an email does not create a patient-therapist relationship. Any such relationship would be created by mutual agreement and after signing the consent forms.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an Out-of-Network provider, which means I do not accept insurance and am not on any insurance panels.
I will provide you with a superbill (which lists all the necessary information such as service, date, fee) to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have Out-of-Network benefits.
I recommend contacting your insurance provider to inquire about your Out-of-Network mental health benefits.
If you call your insurance company, you will likely need to provide these codes:
Type of Service/CPT Code: 90834 (individual therapy), 90847 (couples therapy), 90853 (group therapy); some insurance companies may ask for the telehealth modifier for the CPT code (-95)
Place of Service Code: 02 (telehealth provided other than in patient’s home), 10 (telehealth provided in patient’s home), 11 (in therapist‘s office)
Most insurance providers provide partial reimbursement to Out-of-Network providers.
I accept payment via Credit Cards, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
